The CA401 is sampled from the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX Competition Grand – an instrument used exclusively at international competitions and valued for its tonal clarity. All 88 keys were individually recorded and analysed, capturing the full dynamic range from soft pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. The Kawai EX concert grand is also available.

Spatial Headphone Sound (SHS) adds spatial depth to the piano sound through headphones, creating a more natural acoustic experience and reducing listening fatigue during longer practice sessions.
